Robin Gertin
Certified Expressive Arts Therapist

I studied voice at the Royal Conservatory of Music, competed as a soloist and in various choirs before getting my Bachelor of Music degree. I worked in community outreach at the Canadian Opera Company and was a professional writer for The National Ballet of Canada and Sick Kids Hospital. After my kids were born, I wanted more time with them so I became a children’s entertainer (really!) while attending night school to become a certified expressive arts therapist. In the last 15 years I have helped a wide variety of special populations joyfully engage in creative programs using music, drama play, creative writing, and visual arts. I continue to publish poetry, short stories, and essays.

MOTTO
MAIN FOCUS
I used to sing opera. I make great squishy in the middle chocolate brownies. I love Al Jolson and greatly admire Eleanor Rosevelt.
Heartfelt intention carries the day. Aim to give people the grace that you wish for yourself. Life turns on a dime, be here now. Tell the people that you love that you love them as often as possible.
Using gentle humour and themes from every day life, my programs will get you singing, moving your body, smiling and sharing a laugh or two.
