LIFE MOTTO
MAIN FOCUS
In 2016, I walked 160km across Galicia, in the north of Spain,
along the ancient pilgrimage route, El Camino de Santiago. One day I will
return to walk the entire 800 km!
If trying harder doesn’t work, try softer. - Lily Tomlin
Through poetry, song, movement, sharing our stories and
playful exploration around a weekly theme of interest we’ll follow the flow
of creativity that connects us and brings us to life!
Professional Background
I have always been a creative explorer. Singing, dancing, writing, and performing have all been part of my repertoire of artistic pursuits since childhood.
My lifelong career in the arts began as a theatre director and producer. It wasn't long before I discovered the thrilling world of improvisational comedy, with its lessons in spontaneity, being in the moment and story-telling on-the-fly. Further along this path of performance, I fell head over heels in love with the art of theatrical clowning, which taught me the beauty of vulnerability and set my imagination free.
For over two decades now, my red nose has taken me on rewarding adventures into television performance, clown theatre for adults and finally into health care! Since 2001, I have made regular visits to people of all ages in community healthcare settings, hospitals and long-term care facilities as a professional therapeutic clown artist.
It’s a journey I had never anticipated as a young theatre school graduate. I am so grateful to have found such a joyful and meaningful path combining all my skills in the service of health and well-being. Connecting with others in creative, open-hearted, playful ways, both with and without my red nose, has become my passion and my life’s work. This is at the heart of what I bring to the participants of the Bitove Method.
